Chinese premier condemns Mumbai terror attack
China is strongly opposed to any form of terrorism, Premier Wen Jibao on Thursday said in a message to his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh while condemning the Mumbai terror attacks that claimed more than 100 lives.
On behalf of the Chinese government and himself, Wen expressed deep grief for the victims of the attacks and conveyed sincere condolences to the relatives of the victims and those wounded in the violence, the official Xinhua news agency reported.
Along with Wen Jibao, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi also sent a condolences message to his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee condemning the terror act.
Earlier Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang had also condemned the attacks expressing grief for the victims.
"We express our deep condolences to the victims and solicitude to the families and the injured," he said.
