Chinese not intruding into Indian territory: Rajeev Shukla
KANPUR: On a day India and China reached an agreement to avoid border tensions and army face-offs along the Line of Actual Control ( LAC), Union Minister Rajeev Shukla today said the country's borders are secure and the Chinese are not intruding into Indian territory.

"Indian borders are completely secure. The Chinese are not intruding into Indian territory," Shukla told reporters here.

"Reports about incursions are completely wrong," he said. Shukla said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to China has helped in improving bilateral relations between the two nuclear armed neighbours.

India and China inked a comprehensive pact which commits them not to use military capability to attack each other and also agreed not to tail each other's patrol along the LAC.

On reports of Congress fighting the next Lok Sabha polls with BSP in Uttar Pradesh, he said there has been no talk with the Mayawati-led party about a pre-poll or a post-poll alliance.

He said the party high command will decide about any alliance with any party.
