KOLKATA: Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi tonight said he was looking forward to his meeting tomorrow with his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee in Delhi when the Indian leadership is expected to convey its disappointment to him about his country's stand at the Vienna meeting of NSG granting waiver to New Delhi's nuclear trade.

"He is a good friend. I am looking forward to meet him tomorrow," Jiechi said about Mukherjee at the inauguration of the office of the Consulate General of PRC here.

Asked about China's stance at the NSG meeting at Vienna, he said "You will have all the answers tomorrow."

He said that China and India would enjoy long-term friendship. "China and India will work together for world peace."

He said that in recent years, China and India maintained sound momentum of all round growth, and established strategic and cooperative partnership for peace and prosperity.

The minister said that China was ready to work with the Indian government for mutually beneficial cooperation.

"China and India have been good neighbours and relations date back to antiquity," he said

About the new office, he said that this was a good omen for Indo-China relationship.

"This shows China's sincerity in building friendship with India," he said.

He will leave for Delhi tomorrow. West Bengal Governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi was also present on the occasion.
