Welcoming the Chinese envoy, the Chief Minister apprised him about development works in Bihar and identified sectors as areas of cooperation.

PATNA: Consulate General of People's Republic of China Ma Zhanwu on Thursday called on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Zhanwu, accompanied by the Vice-Consul of Chinese Consulate General Wang Xiang, made a courtesy call to Kumar at his official residence, during which he expressed the desire to cooperate with the state government for development in sectors like culture, tourism, agriculture and infrastructure, an official release said.

Welcoming the Chinese envoy, the Chief Minister apprised him about ongoing development works in Bihar and identified sectors like energy and skill development as areas of cooperation, it said.

Zhanwu extended invitation to Kumar to visit China, the release added.

The Chinese envoy had earlier this week called on the Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind and extended him an invitation to visit China next year.
