Chhattisgarh results: Better to be safe than sorry!

AICC General Secretary in-charge of Chhattisgarh, BK Hariprasad, chose to be better safe than sorry when he was in Raipur on the counting day.

While workers were celebrating at the Congress Bhawan, bursting firecrackers and distributing sweets around 1 pm after TV channels showed party leading in 49 seats in the 90-member assembly, a wise Hariprasad refused to step out of a room, saying he would speak to media only after the leads were clear.

As it would be, Congress tally was way short of majority in another two hours.
