Chhattisgarh: Over 60% voting in re-polling at 2 booths

Eighteen constituencies in Naxal-affected Bastar division and Rajnandgaon district went to poll on November 11, in the first phase.

RAIPUR: Over sixty per cent voting was registered in the re-polling at two polling stations in Antagarh constituency of Chhattisgarh's Naxal-affected Bastar division today.

Tight security was maintained around the polling stations and no violent incident was reported.

"Over 60 per cent voting was recorded in re-polling at Seetaram and Chote Pakhanjur in Kanker district," Joint Chief Electoral Officer D D Singh told PTI.

Voting had not taken place at these two stations on November 11 because of Naxal attacks on polling officials.

Forest Minister Vikram Usendi of BJP is contesting against Congress's Manturam Pawar in the constituency.
