Chhattisgarh government starts 'Child Helpline' booth
RAIPUR: The Chhattisgarh government has started a 'Child Helpline' booth at Raipur railway station which will keep an eye on distressed or missing children.

The booth, set up at platform number-1, was inaugurated yesterday by Women and Child Welfare Department(WCWD) minister Ramsheela Sahu, an official statement said here today.

"The booth will keep track of the missing children. WCWD and the police department will work together to trace the missing children and provide them with security," it added.

Its main objective is to curb child trafficking, child migration, tracing the missing children and helping the children in distress, the statement said.

The authorities are keen on rehabilitating the children into the mainstream of life, it added.
