Chhagan Bhujbal sent someone to get me withdraw complaint: Damania
MUMBAI: Aam Aadmi Party leader Anjali Damania today claimed NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal had sent an emissary to her, asking her to withdraw the complaint filed against him with the Anti-Corruption Bureau.

Bhujbal, a former PWD minister of Maharashtra, refuted the allegation.

"Mr Chaggan Bhujbal.. your associate came to my house just now to ask me to back off from you(r) case. I warn you.. don't dare to do this with me," Damania tweeted today.

"Two people, both of whom introduced themselves as social workers, came to my house at about 3pm. After talking to me for a while, the lady called...told me she wants to speak to me in private," Damania told PTI.

"She told me she was with Bhujbal this afternoon and when your name came up, I told him I know you. So he asked me to meet you and ask you to take back the case I have filed against him. She said Bhujbal is even ready to pay me well if I backed off," Damania alleged.

Rubbishing Damania's claims, Bhujbal said he had not sent anybody to meet her.

"I have been clear from the day one. I am open to investigation. I did not send anybody to her house to issue threats. I don't even know who went to her house.

"I am hundred percent sure no one will go and threaten her on my behalf. Does any woman go and issue threats this way?" Bhujbal said.
