Chennai techie found dead in Australia
Since November 14, Ganesh Sivarman’s online networking community account has been filling up with condolence messages from friends.
The research engineer at the University of South Australia died under mysterious circumstances a week ago. But the reason the messages have been filing in only from last Friday is because thats the day Ganeshs parents, who live here in Vadapalani, Chennai, found out about their sons death.
Nearly three days after his death, on the morning of November 14, Ganeshs parents, who live in Chennai received a call from a number in Chennai giving them another phone number in Australia and stating that their son Ganesh was in trouble.
When the Sivaramans called the number, they got a police sergeant, who said he was not allowed to say anything and asked them to get in touch with the Indian Embassy.
Ganeshs mothers colleagues (she works in a bank in T Nagar) in Chennai say the Sivaramans made repeated phone calls and finally when there was no response, they got the branch head of their bank in Australia to call the embassy. When the branch head got in touch with the embassy he was told about Ganeshs death.
