The oath taking ceremony will take place at Raj Bhawan, before which the to-be-Chief Minister will meet Harish Rawat, Congress Party Leader.

Channi will likely also meet the ex-Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, after being sworn in.

Rahul Gandhi, is likely to be in attendance at the ceremony, however the Captain may not be present.

Captain Amarinder Singh gave in his resignation on the 18th of September, after being “humiliated” by the Congress high command. He resigned after the Congress began interference in order to dissolve Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. Aside from that the new party leader Navjot Singh Sidhu also started battling with him on Twitter, which is when Amarinder Singh challenged him to contest the election from Patiala.
