Centre denies signing any 'Framework Agreement' for greater Nagalim
GUWAHATI: Centre has denied that it has agreed to carve out a larger Nagaland State by taking away the territories of the states contiguous to Nagaland.

The government in a statement clarified that there is neither any such agreement nor any decision has been taken by the GoI.

The NSCN-IM in a statement to media houses had stated, “The historic Framework Agreement recognizes the unique history, the identity, the sovereignty and the territories of the Nagas. It also recognises the legitimate right of the Nagas for integration of all Naga territories. It also says co-existence of the two entities and share-sovereignty of the two entities”.

NSCN-IM revelation has sparked protest in Assam. Greater Nagalim is NSCN-IM’s core demand. Greater Nagalim stipulates integration of Naga inhabited areas of Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Myanmar.

Congress in Manipur has asked Government to make the framework agreement public.
