NEW DELHI: The Centre on Friday asked the Supreme Court to set up a constitution bench to decide the validity of Aadhar scheme.

The Centre told the apex court that there is no point in rolling back Aadhaar scheme as we have gone all the way and covered 80 crore population.

The top court expressed concern over govt authorities making Aadhaar mandatory for welfare schemes in violation of its interim order.
