Central government cutting down Tamil Nadu's kerosene quota, says Jayalalitha

TN Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today alleged that the Central government was cutting down the state's monthly quota of kerosene.

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today alleged that the Central government was cutting down the state's monthly quota of kerosene, an issue she had already taken up with the Prime Minister.

Intervening during the debate on budget at the assembly here, she said the Centre had been cutting down the supply since June.

"I have taken up the matter with Prime Minister (both through letter and in person). We will strive with the Centre to ensure state's rights are upheld," she said.
