SRINAGAR: With fresh ceasefire violations along the border, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today called for "cooler heads" and "better sense" along the International Border between India and Pakistan.

"What a terrible start to the day. I hope cooler heads and better sense prevail. Thoughts and prayers with all affected," he tweeted.

He was reacting to fresh ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops that left two persons dead and 16 others injured in R S Pura sector of Jammu region.
