CBI registers case of Prevention of Corruption Act against unknown public servants of UPPSC

Earlier, CBI had registered a Preliminary Enquiry on the allegations that unknown persons and unknown officials of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, Allahabad committed irregularities in the examination.

According to the agency, various complaints were received alleging irregularities in the UPPSC.
NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today registered a case on charges of criminal conspiracy, cheating and under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act against unknown public servants of UPPSC, Allahabad (UP) and unknown private persons on the allegations of irregularities committed in the selection process of Upper Subordinate Examination 2015 (PCS- Upper- 2015).

Earlier, CBI had registered a Preliminary Enquiry on the allegations that unknown persons and unknown officials of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, Allahabad committed irregularities in the examination.

According to the agency, various complaints were received alleging irregularities in the UPPSC, in the name of moderation, scaling, interview, changing of answer booklets, examination not being cancelled despite questions being leaked, violation of rules relating to reservation, more marks given to candidate of a particular region and caste etc.
