CBI officer probing Rajiv Gandhi assassination case promoted
Singh and Bagchi are working in Anti-Corruption Branch and Special Crime unit in Kolkata. Whereas, Bhaskar is working in the CBI Training Academy in Ghaziabad.

Sinha, a Deputy Inspector General-level officer in CBI, is heading the Multi-Disciplinary Monitoring Agency (MDMA) Zone of the agency. MDMA is probing Gandhi's assassination.
He is a 1996-batch IPS officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre.
Besides Sinha, three other IPS officers -- Navin Kumar Singh, Shankha Brata Bagchi and Bhanu Bhaskar -- have also been promoted as Joint Director in the CBI, an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training said.
Singh and Bagchi are working in Anti-Corruption Branch and Special Crime unit of the agency in Kolkata. Whereas, Bhaskar is working in the CBI Training Academy in Ghaziabad.
All of them are 1996-batch IPS officers.
