CBI filed first charge sheet in Rose valley case

KOLKATA: CBI today has submitted its first charge sheet in connection with the Rose Valley scam. The charge sheet has been submitted to the court of special CJM in Bhubenswar today. Gautam Kundu, chairman of Rose Valley group has been named in the charge sheet. Kundu is now in jail custody. He was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate last year.

"We have today filed Charge Sheet in the Court of the Special CJM, Bhubaneswar against Sh. Gautam Kundu, then Chairman, Sh.Shibamoy Dutta, then Managing Director, Sh. Ashok Kumar Saha and Sh. Ram Lal Goswami, then two Directors of Rose Valley company and others. Cases were registered under 120-B , 420/409 of IPC," said R K Gaur, press information officer of CBI.

Cases were registered against three companies of Rose Valley group including Rose Valley Real Estate and land Bank, Rose Valley Real Estate and Construction and Rose Valley Hotels and Entertainment. According to sources, the group has raised over Rs 10000 crore from the market by duping people.
