CBI examines Kuldeep Sengar for ‘Beating’ victim’s father
A status report will be filed by CBI before the Allahabad High Court on May 30. No new FIR has been registered against him. Sengar will be questioned by the investigating agency till Tuesday, the day his remand expires.

The agency procured his two day police remand, following the “revelations” made by the two Uttar Pradesh police officials who were arrested last week by the CBI. Sub inspectors Ashok Singh Bhadauriya and Kamta Prasad Singh were arrested on May 16.
Agency sources indicated that Singh has revealed that Sengar was in constant touch with him over phone when the rape survivor’s father was being beaten up in the police station. Kamta Prasad Singh was the then station officer of Makhi police station. The agency will now confront Sengar in presence of both the police officers.
The agency has also dug out call detail records which indicate that Sengar had repeatedly called Singh (nearly a dozen times) the night victim’s father was being beaten up.
The CBI will name Sengar in its chargesheet if it finds enough evidence of his involvement.
