CBI, ED revive rose valley case probe
ED had arrested Kundu in March 2015 for allegedly running Ponzi schemes. The size of the scam is estimated to be Rs 15,484 crore.According to sources, Kundu failed to repay investors around Rs 9,000 crore.

The assets to be attached include eight hotels and resorts owned by the group. ED has also ordered for attaching 12 luxury cars of company chairman Gautam Kundu worth over Rs 6 crore, including a Rolls-Royce. ED sources claimed that Kundu purchased the car by paying Rs 4.8 crore cash. ED has issued attachment orders for Rose Valley resorts and hotels in Goa, Haridwar, Port Blair, Jaipur, Silchar and Kolkata.

The directorate had already submitted two chargesheets and arrested five directors of the company .
Apart from Bandyopadhyay, the names of several politicians cropped up during the investigation. According to sources, TMC MP Tapas Pal, who was director in two companies of Rose Valley , is already under ED scanner.
