CBI books  Dayanidhi Maran for diverting ISDN lines to brother Kalanithi's Sun Group
NEW DELHI: CBI has lodged a formal case against former telecom minister Dayanidhi Maran in an investigation involving the diversion of hundreds of phone lines from his Chennai residence to his brother’s Sun Group, the second case it is pursuing against the one-time DMK heavyweight.


A CBI spokesperson confirmed that a two-year-old preliminary enquiry in the matter has been converted into a regular case, and among those named as accused in the agency’s FIR include Maran and two BSNL officials, K Bramhanathan and MP Veluswami.
