CBI alleges Haryana government not co-operating in criminal cases against Gurmeet Ram Rahim
NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation has alleged that the Haryana government is not co-operating with it in investigating a criminal case against Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim. The Dera chief is accused of ordering the castration of his followers.

During the resumed hearing of the case in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday, the CBI counsel apprised the court that the agency had on January 15 written to the Haryana chief secretary, asking for paraphernalia, including vehicles, state police security etc. But even two-and-half months later, the state has not even responded to CBI’s letter.

Justice Surya Kant asked the CBI counsel to file an application furnishing its requirements, after which it would pass necessary directions to the Khattar government in Haryana.

CBI submitted its preliminary investigation report in the case in a sealed cover.
