Cash crisis: Currency chest staffers working for 20 hours daily
INDORE: Bank staffers working with around 20 currency chests in the district are toiling for around 20 hours daily to overcome scarcity of cash flow in the market following the demonetisation of high-value notes.

"In the wake of demonetisation of high-value notes, the bank staffers with 20 currency chests are working daily from 8 am to 4 am next morning," District's Lead Bank Manager Mukesh Bhatt said.

Bhatt, an official of Bank of India, also said the work of exchange is moving at a brisk pace from 610 branches of 45 banks.

He also said the bank employees are working in respective branches till late night.

Bhatt expressed hope that putting an indelible mark on the index finger of those coming to exchange money will shorten the queue.
