According to data presented by the Minister, 10 such cases were reported in 2013, 11 in 2014, 17 in 2015 and two cases in 2016 till March.

NEW DELHI: Some cases of women from African countries smuggling popular drugs into the country have come to light, the Rajya Sabha was informed today.

"Yes Sir. Some cases of women from African countries such as South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Burundi, Malawi, Tanzania, Nigeria and Mozambique smuggling popular drugs in the country have come to the notice," Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju said.

According to data presented by the Minister, 10 such cases were reported in 2013, 11 in 2014, 17 in 2015 and two cases in 2016 till March.
