HARDOI: A case has been registered against a BSP leader and six others in connection with an incident of alleged firing to grab a piece of land belonging to a graveyard in Unnati village here, police said today.

A case was registered yesterday at Tadiyawan police station against Ram Bux Singh and six others by one Sharif in connection with firing to forcibly grab the piece of land.

Singh and others have been accused of trying to grab the land belonging to the graveyard and opening fire when the other faction objected to it, police said, adding investigations are on.

Singh had fought the last assembly election from the Hardoi seat.
