Candle light march for Sarbjit's recovery
Joined by the daughter and wife of Sarbjit Singh, a human rights body today took out a candle light march here praying for his recovery.
The activists of Akhil Bharatiya Human Rights Organisation (ABHRO) and the kin of Sarbjit prayed for his early recovery besides demanding safety for him.
ABHRO Secretary General H S Tanwar said Sarabjit must be shifted to some good medical facility abroad as Pakistan hospital is not that well equipped to handle critical cases like that of Sarabjit.
Dalbir Kaur, sister of Sarabjit, said she has been granted fifteen days visa along with her family members to visit her critically injured brother in Pakistan.
Dalbir Kaur, along with daughters Poonam, Swpandeep Kaur and Sukhpreet Kaur, wife of Sarbjit Singh, would cross over to Pakistan tomorrow morning.
Singh was admitted to state-run Jinnah Hospital in Pakistan and is in ICU.
The attack reportedly occurred while Singh was being moved from one cell to another. He sustained head injury.
After his condition worsened, Singh was taken in an ambulance to Jinnah Hospital.
