"What Sule said is true, Modi ji's name is taken by all the world leaders with respect... When it transpired that Modiji would not go to Canada, their PM (Mark Carney) invited him (PM Modi) because he (Carney) knows that if Modi ji is not present for the G7 meeting, it would have no meaning for the group (G7)."Fadnavis was reacting to NCP(SP) leader Supriya Sule in her speech during the NCP(SP) foundation day celebrations speaking about the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi among world leaders.
He, however, took on Sharad Pawar who had blamed the centre for the dip in relations of countries in India's immediate neighbourhood like Pakistan, Bangladesh. Fadnavis also referred to the recent railway accident in Mumbra and said that the Railways will soon be introducing more AC trains in the suburban railway network.
