Canada in final stages to clinch n-deal with India: Day

Canada in final stages of concluding a civilian nuclear deal with India.

HYDERABAD: Canada is in the final stages of concluding a civilian nuclear cooperation agreement with India, a visiting minister of the country said here on Wednesday.

"We have submitted everything on our side and talking with everybody from Prime Minister to the National Security Advisor and other ministers," Canada's Minister for International Trade, Stockwell Day said while speaking at a meeting here organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

"What the Canadian industry offer can be easily adapted for implementation by the Indian industry," he said adding that Canada is the world's largest supplier of quality uranium.

Day said that Canada also offers several advantages including a stable banking system for doing business.

Andhra Pradesh Industry Minister Geeta Reddy said that the state and its capital, Hyderabad, is one of the most happening places in the country.

She assured complete cooperation of the state government in promoting trade ties between Canada.
