Call special legislature session to discuss drought: Yeddyurappa
CHITRADURGA: BJP national Vice-President B S Yeddyurappa today demanded convening of a three-day special session of the state legislature to discuss drought and farmers-related issues.

Speaking to reporters here, he asked the Siddaramaiah government to take the Opposition into confidence and work out ways to tackle drought and issues concerning farmers.

He accused the state government of "total failure" in meeting the drought situation in the state.

Siddaramaiah also charged the Siddaramaiah government with "indirectly" backing the nationwide strike by trade unions today with the aim of tarnishing the image of the Modi government.

Yeddyurappa also flayed the moves by the Congress and JDS to join hands to gain control of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike by resorting to "horsetrading" though the BJP had won the people's mandate.
