The Calcutta HC on Friday granted permission to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's meeting in West Bengal's East Burdwan district to be held on Sunday but asked the RSS Bengal unit to maintain the loudspeaker sound limits.

Justice Sinha observed the meeting could be conducted if the sound does not reach outside and the decibel limit set by the Pollution Control Board will have to be followed.

"RSS is an organisation that always follows strict rules and discipline. We will follow the decibel limit as per the court order," Biplab Roy, chief spokesperson for South Bengal unit of RSS, told ET.

The RSS had on Thursday approached the HC challenging the denial of police permission for a meeting of Bhagwat in Burdwan on February 16.
