Acting on a tip-off that sharp weapons were being illegally sold at a general store, the city police last night raided the shop and seized 102 Chinese weapons from there, senior police inspector S K Mujawar told reporters here.
The weapons included a sword with sheath, five sword sticks, 31 'khanjar' (curved dagger), eight kukri (curved knife), and knives in various sizes worth about Rs 50,000, he said.
Police also recovered Rs 4.70 lakh cash from the store, he said.
Later, one Mohammad Naeem Abauddin Ansari (49) was arrested for selling the weapons. Offences under relevant sections have been registered against him, he added.
