It was a busy Saturday in Patna, a day after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took oath as a Rajya Sabha member and returned to the state capital.

Senior JD(U) leaders, including working president Sanjay Jha and minister Vijay Choudhary, met Kumar in the morning to discuss cabinet formation. Later, BJP deputy chief ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha, along with minister Lakhendra Paswan, held talks with him-signalling the BJP's calibrated outreach on power-sharing.

BJP's Bihar in-charge Vinod Tawde is also in Patna, holding separate meetings with party leaders before heading to Delhi to finalise the cabinet with the central leadership.

Meanwhile, Kumar is learnt to be planning a move to 7 Circular Road following his resignation as chief minister.

Sources said Kumar is likely to resign on April 14, with the new government set to be sworn in on April 15 in Patna.
