CAA: Amit Shah to visit Karnataka tomorrow, to address rally at Hubballi
BJP national president Amit Shah will visit Karnataka tomorrow as part of the party's outreach programme on citizenship amendment act (CAA).

Shah will visit Hubballi (Hubli) where he will address a rally on the CAA. “Hubli is the only place in Karnataka where Shah will be addressing a rally on CAA. And, it is going to be a massive one,” Union Parliamentary Affairs, Coal & Mines Minister Pralhad Joshi told ET.

Joshi said he has reviewed the preparations for the meeting which will be held at Nehru Maidan on Saturday evening. “We expect a gathering of about one lakh people from Dharwad, Haveri and Gadag districts. We are trying to reach every household in the three districts and invite to the event,” the Minister said.

Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa will also be present during the rally, and may use the opportunity to discuss about the Cabinet expansion. The CM has said he will go ahead with the expansion on getting a green signal from the party high command.

Ministerial aspirants in the BJP are breathing down the CM's neck urging him to complete the Cabinet expansion fast. The CM will be leaving for Davos, Switzerland on Sunday to attend the world economic summit. He will return on January 23.
