C P Joshi attacks Narendra Modi on corruption
Hitting at BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, Congress leader C P Joshi today questioned the party's silence on the issue of corruption.

"We are being accused of corruption. But it is the Congress which brought RTI Act. Using this Act you can bring corruption in the bureaucracy and governance to the fore. It is the Congress which has empowered the people," Joshi said while addressing a function where Somen Mitra rejoined the party.
"What do the opposition have to say on the issue of corruption in Karnataka? Why the Gujurat Chief Minister, who is presently dreaming of becoming the Prime Minister, kept the post of Lokayakta in Gujurat vacant for so many years?" Joshi asked.
The state Congress leadership, during the programme stressed they didn't want an alliance with the Trinamool in West Bengal in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
"In front of the central leadership, we want to say we don't want any alliance with the Trinamool and want to contest from all 42 seats," Congress MP Deepa Dasmunshi said.
