In West Bengal, the ruling BJP registered sweeping victories in both Nandigram and minority-dominated Rejinagar, with margins of 1,22,109 and 75,816 votes, respectively.
In Tamil Nadu, the ruling TVK wrested the Dharapuram and Madurantakam seats from the AIADMK, taking its tally in the assembly to 110. The bypolls were necessitated after the AIADMK MLAs resigned and joined TVK.
In West Bengal, the ruling BJP registered sweeping victories in both Nandigram and minority-dominated Rejinagar, with margins of 1,22,109 and 75,816 votes, respectively.

In Puducherry, the ruling AINRC candidate Ashik Anand won the Thattanchavady seat by a margin of 8,482 votes, defeating Congress candidate E Vinayagam. In Assam, BJP maintained a commanding lead in the Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency, with a margin of over 1.4 lakh votes, according to the latest ECI data available at the time of filing this report.
BJP was poised to win the seat after losing it in 2024 elections. BJP candidate Devashish Sharma was leading against AIUDF president Badruddin Ajmal. The Congress, which had won the seat in the previous two elections, was trailing in third place.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the winning candidates, saying the victory reflects yet again that the people have a "deep-rooted connect" with the good governance agenda of the alliance.
