By-polls to nine Gujarat assembly seats on September 13

GANDHINAGAR: Nine assembly seats as well as one Lok Sabha (LS) seat from Gujarat will go for by-election on September 13 along with other 24 assembly seats and two LS seats across the country.

The by-poll in these assembly seats in Gujarat was necessitated after the incumbents had contested in LS polls and won. The only LS seat that is going to poll, Vadodara was one of the two seats that was won by Narendra Modi. The counting of votes have been scheduled for September 16.
