B’wood producer arrested for assaulting girlfriend
Film producer Gaurang Doshi was arrested this morning after the Bombay High Court rejected his anticipatory bail plea in connection with alleged assault on his former companion Flora Saini, police said.

MUMBAI: Film producer Gaurang Doshi was arrested this morning after the Bombay High Court rejected his anticipatory bail plea in connection with alleged assault on his former companion Flora Saini, police said.
Doshi was arrested by the Versova police which is investigating into the case of assault registered by Saini last month, Assistant Commissioner of Police (D N Nagar) Arun Awate told PTI here.
Doshi, producer of Amitabh Bachchan-starrer like 'Deewar' and 'Aankhen', was accused of having assaulted Saini on February 14.
Doshi had approached a local court soon after the registration of the offence against him which in turn asked him to approach the High Court, granting temporary relief from arrest.
The High Court rejected the plea last week on the ground that it was a case of "brutal assault".
In the intervening period, Saini had also filed a case of threatening and sending obscene SMSes against Doshi with the Oshiwara police station.
In the fresh case, Doshi was arrested and later released on bail.
