WASHINGTON: US President George W Bush has no plans "at this point" to hold a joint meeting with Israeli and Palestinian leaders during a visit to the Middle East next week, the White House said today.

Asked about a possible three-way meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas, Bush national security adviser Stephen Hadley replied: "There is not one on the schedule at this point."

Hadley said Bush would hold "a series of bilateral meetings" and that there would be "opportunities down the road" for such a meeting if it was deemed helpful to promoting Middle East peace.
