Burdwan to come up with Bengal's 'Mishti Hub' shortly
A hub for manufacturing Bengal's famous sweets will come up in Burdwan shortly. Termed as the " Mishti Hub", the facility will be inaugurated by the chief minister Mamata Banerjee on March 14.

The news of the proposed hub has already created a lot of interest in the market. Traders have already started receiving advance orders for sweets.

On January 9, the state chief minister had announced that the proposed hub will be inaugurated on March 14. She made the announcement from the inaugural ceremony of Mati Utsav.

The decision to set up the hub was taken considering the business potential of the locally made traditional sweets and it was decided to sell the sweets in small packets in all the outlets of Biswa Bangla. She had also announced that the same sweets will be marketed abroad.
