Burdwan blast case: JMB operative Sujina Begum sent to 14 day police custody
A court in Guwahati has sent Jehadi terror outfit, Jamaat-ul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) operative Sujina Begum to 14 day police custody.

Sujina is the wife of Shahnur Alom, one of the 12 main accused of the Burdwan blast on October 1 from Guwahati.
Alom who is an operative of JMB along with his wife Sujina Begum is absconding from last month from his residence at Chatala village in Assam’s Barpeta district.
Sujina was produced before a court on Saturday. Sujina was nabbed while based on specific information from the Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) in city’s Boragaon area.
Sujina was tasked to raise a women wing like Jehadi outfit's have done in Jammu and Kashmir.Alom is among the 12 operatives for whom National Investigation Agency (NIA) is hunting.
Assam chief minister, Tarun Gogoi said Sujina was operating and motivating youths to join the outfit in the garb of the “burqa” seller. Shahnur and his wife Sujina were educated in a Madrassa in West Bengal.
Goswami added that both the Shahnur and his wife were on the wanted list of National Investigating Agency (NIA), which is probing the Burdwan blast. Cases have been registered against the duo with the Special Operation Unit (SOU) of the Assam police.
Police is expecting to make big arrest following the interrogation of Sujina. “She can give the insight of Jehadi activities in Assam.” NIA team has searched the houses of Shahnur Alom, his arrested brother Jakaria and some others and searched the bank accounts of the couple in different bank branches in the district. NIA has announced Rs 5 lakh for information about Sahanur.
