Budget session of Parliament from July 7 to August 14
NEW DELHI: The over month-long Budget session of Parliament will commence on July 7 and conclude on August 14, it was officially announced today.

A day after the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA) decided on the dates of the Budget session, the Lok Sabha secretariat today issued a formal statement saying the Lok Sabha will meet from July 7.

"Subject to exigencies of the government business, the session is likely to conclude on August 14," it said.

The CCPA had decided that the first General Budget of the Narendra Modi government will be presented on July 10.

The Rail Budget will be presented on July 8, while the Economic Survey will be tabled on July 9.

The session will have a total of 28 sittings. The vote-on-account budget approved by the previous Parliament ends on July 31 and a new budget has to be in place before that date.
