Budget session of Mizoram Assembly extended by a day

Assembly Speaker R Romawia said that the extension of the current session was necessitated by fresh submission of four government bills.

AIZAWL: The ongoing Budget Session of the Mizoram legislature, which began on March 12 and was scheduled to end on Wednesday next has been extended by a day.

Assembly Speaker R Romawia said that the extension of the current session was necessitated by fresh submission of four government bills.

Presenting the report of the business advisory committee ( BAC) which met on Thursday last, Romawia said that the Session would be adjourned sine die on Thursday next.

The bills are - The Mizoram Revenue Bill, 2013, The Mizoram Fire Service Bill, 2013, the Mizoram Slaughter Bill, 2013 and Mahatma Gandhi University Bill, 2013.
