Budget 2016: Aam Aadmi Party's Bhagwant Mann demands more scholarship schemes
Bhagwant Mann today assured students that he will try to persuade the Centre to initiate new scholarship schemes for them.

The MP from Sangrur asserted that education should be the top priority in any budget.
Interacting with students of a private college here, he said because of the "poor policies" of the state government and delay in awarding of the scholarship amount, the students, parents, and colleges are facing hardships in Punjab.
He also assured people that he would try to persuade the Union government to start new scholarship schemes for different categories of the students.
He said, he would raise voice for those students who are finding it tough to get education loan from banks.
Mann said intiatives like 'Start-Up India, Stand-Up India' are not enough, the government should fund every young entrepreneur who wants to start any business so the students strive to become job providers rather than job-seekers.
