BSP founder member Dina Nath Bhaskar joins BJP

Bhaskar joined the saffron-fold in presence of BJP state president Laxmikant Bajpai and party leader Virendra Singh, MP from Bhadohi.

BHADOHI (UP) : Bahujan Samaj Party founder member and former Uttar Pradesh minister Dina Nath Bhaskar today joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at a public meeting here.

Bhaskar joined the saffron-fold in presence of BJP state president Laxmikant Bajpai and party leader Virendra Singh, Member of Parliament from Bhadohi.

He had quit BSP last month and after holding discussion with his supporters formally made this announcement at the meeting organised by him at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Park here.

Bhaskar was the health minister during the Samajwadi Party-BSP coalition government in UP in 1993. He had later quit BSP to join SP in 1996 only to return in 2009.

Addressing the gathering, Bajpai attacked Congress and advised the party Vice President Rahul Gandhi not to make "hue and cry" over Land Acquisition Bill but to "ensure that his brother-in-law return lands of farmers taken by him".
