BSP did nothing for minorities' development, claims Azam Khan

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan today attacked the previous BSP government for putting "restrictions" in the process of bringing 'madarsas' on aid list and doing "nothing" for the development of minorities.

"The previous government had no intention of improving the lot of minorities or provide them security and so they did nothing for them and instead indulged in mere rhetorics...and the biggest example of it is putting restrictions on bringing madarsas on aid list," Khan said here.

The Samajwadi Party government has taken serious note of the "harm to 'madarsas' because of these restrictions and tried to remove them," Azam claimed.

"Restrictions have now been lifted and the process of bringing 75 'madarsas' on the aid list is in its final stage," he said.

The government has simplified the process of bringing 'madarsas' on the aid list, Khan said.
