BSP chief Mayawati rules out alliances

Mayawati has firmly ruled out any alliance with either the Congress, BJP or the Third Front before or after the elections.

LUCKNOW: Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has firmly ruled out any alliance with either the Congress, BJP or the Third Front before or after the elections. She said her party will contest alone in the upcoming assembly polls in five states and the next Lok Sabha polls.

Mayawati said the crowds at BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s rallies were just ticket seekers and not indicative of his popularity. She said the trio of LK Advani-Modi-Rajnath Singh was undercutting each other and this internal tussle will help the BSP.
