BSF jawans alert 24X7: BSF IG, South Bengal Anil Pahliwal
According to BSF data, 2,394 Bangladeshis were apprehended by organisation for illegally trying to cross over to Indian border up to Oct, 2014.

Speaking about the Burdwan blast, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had recently charged that the BSF was not doing its job properly to stop infiltration.
When asked by reporters about Banerjee's observation, the BSF IG South Bengal Anil Pahliwal refused to say anything.
"We are alert and vigilant for 365 days 24X7," Pahliwal said on the sidelines of the 49th raising day of the BSF.
