BRO engineer's body reaches home after four days

As Border Roads Organization Engieer M P Singh's body reached his home at Sigra in the city this evening after four days of agonising wait, his shock-stricken wife and children fell unconscious.

VARANASI: As Border Roads Organization Engieer M P Singh's body reached his home at Sigra in the city this evening after four days of agonising wait, his shock-stricken wife and children fell unconscious. A pall of gloom descended upon the house of the slain engineer Mahendra Pratap Singh's house, who was killed in a suicide attack in Afghanistan on Saturday. The wife children and other family members started crying and weeping as the dead body was brought to his house.

Wife Uma Devi and children Neha (14 years) and Nikhil(12 years), fell unconscious out of shock and deep agony the moment they saw the body. Earlier, the body was brought at Babatpur airport here from Delhi in a special air force plane in the evening at around 1800 hrs today. He died along with C. Govindaswami, another BRO engineer in a Taliban suicide attack at Nimroz in Afghanistan on Saturday.
