British PM David Cameron aide Sajid Javid coming to lay ground for PM Narendra Modi's trip
LONDON: Conservative Party's rising star and British PM David Cameron's most trusted Sajid Javid is coming to India this week as UK starts preparations for PM Narendra Modi's maiden visit to London this November.

Javid, the son of a bus driver and former banker is among the only few ministers of South Asian origin in Cameron's cabinet. He was made the new business secretary after the recent May 7 general elections ­ a tremendously important portfolio, earlier help by the stalwart Vince Cable.

Javid who oversaw the installation of the Mahatma Gandhi statue at Parliament Square recently will be in India on September 11.

Britain's MoS for trade and investment Lord Francis Maude will also be in India. The ministers will be part of the India-UK Business Convention in Delhi.

A 70,000 strong reception in one of England's iconic landmarks-the Wembley stadium is all set to greet PM Modi when he visits the UK.
