LONDON: Britain has strongly condemned the indiscriminate bomb blasts in New Delhi saying these horrific attacks only serve to reinforce "our shared determination" to tackle violent extremism.

In a statement, Foreign Secretary David Miliband said: "Yesterday's indiscriminate bomb attacks in markets and shopping areas in New Delhi are a terrible reminder of the threat from violent extremism.

"I condemn unreservedly all such acts of indiscriminate terrorism. My condolences and sympathies go out to all the victims and to all those families that have suffered. The UK and India are close partners, including in working together to counter the shared threat from terrorism.

"These horrific attacks will only serve to reinforce our shared determination to tackle violent extremism," the statement added.
