BPO staffers, driver sexually assaulted, three arrested

“Their initial complaint mentioned only robbery. Later, they visited the police station and said they were sexually assaulted. We have arrested two -Kiran and Satish. Their friend who picked them up after the crime, Satish, was also taken into custody. It is a case of road rage that escalated to robbery and then sexual assault,“ she said.
According to ACP BN Obalesh, the BPO driver was intercepted by the accused, blaming him for using high-beam lights.
The accused forced themselves into the Tempo Traveller and made abusive demands for money. Forcing the driver towards Ragigudda, the accused allegedly stripped and thrashed the BPO staffers with a belt, snatching a silver ring and mobile phones, and escaped in another car.
In their statement, the trio stated they were sexually assaulted by Kiran and Satish, the police said.
